Washer stops mid-cycle with standing water in the drum; ND or 5E error code displayed on the control panel.
A loud humming sound from the bottom of the machine during the drain phase, often caused by a seized impeller or failed motor bearing.
Pump fails to fully expel water, leaving laundry excessively wet even after a completed spin cycle.
Drain pump starts and stops randomly or requires a manual push to begin spinning — indicates a dead spot in the rotor/stator winding.
Water intrudes into the motor housing through a failed internal seal, leading to leaks at the bottom front of the washer.

💡 Pro Tip: Diagnosing a Failed Drain Pump
Your part is likely the culprit if you notice any of the following:
⚠️ Washer displays ND (No Drain) or 5E error code and stops mid-cycle
⚠️ Loud humming or buzzing noise from the bottom of the machine during drain cycle
⚠️ Water remains in the drum after the spin cycle — clothes are soaking wet
⚠️ Pump runs intermittently or needs a manual push to start spinning
🔍 Technician's Test: With power OFF, measure resistance across pump terminals — should read ~13.9 Ω. With power ON during drain phase, check for 120 VAC at control board Connector CN2 pin 3 (Brown) and CN3 Pin 3 (Violet). If voltage is present but pump does not run, replace the pump assembly. Always clear the coin trap and check drain hoses for clogs before replacing the pump.
