Ice maker cycles through but no water fills the tray, resulting in zero ice output.
Pressing the in-door water dispenser paddle produces no water flow.
Water drips or pools behind the refrigerator at the valve connection point.
Unexplained water accumulation inside the refrigerator compartment caused by a valve that won't fully close.
Ice maker produces very little ice or water dispenser flow is noticeably reduced due to a partially failed solenoid.
💡 Pro Tip: How to Diagnose a Faulty Water Inlet Valve
Your part is likely the culprit if you notice any of the following:
⚠️ Ice maker stops producing ice or produces very little ice
⚠️ No water dispensed from the in-door water dispenser
⚠️ Water leaking at the back of the refrigerator near the valve
⚠️ Water pooling at the bottom of the fresh food compartment
🔍 Before replacing: (1) Check for a clogged water filter. (2) Test for a frozen fill line by disconnecting the tube at the door bottom and blowing air through it. (3) Verify household water pressure is at least 20 PSI. If all check out, the inlet valve solenoid is the most likely cause. Do NOT attempt to clean the valve — cleaning increases the risk of failure.
