Samsung Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve Parts — Models & Compatibility

Your Samsung dishwasher won't fill? The water inlet valve controls the flow of water into your dishwasher tub during wash and rinse cycles. When it fails, you'll notice your dishwasher either won't fill at all, fills too slowly, or keeps filling even when it should stop. This hub covers the DC62-30314L water inlet valve and which Samsung dishwasher models it fits.
Is This the Right Part for Your Model?
Check your model number before ordering. You'll find it on a sticker inside the door frame or along the left side panel when you open the door. It'll look something like DW80K7050UG/AA or DW80R9950US. The DC62-30314L valve (also replaces AP5582579 and PS4209101) fits dozens of Samsung dishwasher models from the DW80 series produced over the past several years.
About This Replacement Part
The water inlet valve sits at the bottom left of your dishwasher where the water supply line connects. It's an electrically-controlled valve that opens when the dishwasher control board signals it needs water. Inside are one or two solenoids that actuate the valve mechanism. Over time, mineral deposits from hard water can clog the valve screen, or the solenoids can burn out from repeated cycling. When that happens, you'll either get no water flow or constant water flow that won't shut off. The DC62-30314L is a direct OEM replacement that restores proper water control to your Samsung dishwasher.

What You Need to Know Before Replacing
Always turn off the water supply and disconnect power before starting this repair. You'll need to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter to access the valve location at the bottom left front corner. The water supply line connects with a compression fitting that you'll need an adjustable wrench to disconnect. Have a towel ready — there's usually residual water in the line and valve that'll drip when you disconnect it.
Why This Part Fails
Water inlet valves fail for a few predictable reasons. Hard water minerals build up on the valve screen, restricting flow until the valve can't open properly. The rubber diaphragm inside can develop cracks or lose its flexibility over time, preventing a tight seal. The electrical solenoids can burn out from constant cycling or voltage spikes. If your water pressure is above 120 PSI, you're putting extra stress on the valve that shortens its lifespan. Most Samsung dishwasher water inlet valves last 5-8 years before needing replacement.
